CONTEXT

Merch ignites fandom, and we sell lots of merch.

Fans bond with the artists through purchasing their merchandise. This moment of fandom is happening today as we speak on amazon.com. Fans on Amazon always seek to buy authentic artists merch. However, it is difficult to distinguish them from 3rd party sellers on amazon.com. Artists also voice this concern as well. They want to leverage Amazon, but doing so puts their intellectual property at risk.

Amazon is positioned uniquely in the music industry. Amazon Music is a music streaming service, but Amazon is a e-commerce retailer. We are bringing customers an intersection between retail and music. We can sell merch on the music app itself.
SOLUTION

Shop as you listen to music. Authentic merch guaranteed.

To truly merge the shopping and music listening experience, we integrated all artists' authentic merch sold on amazon.com into our Amazon Music app. Now a BTS fan will be able to listen Butter as they shop their merch. To provide an even more delightful experience, we have continued partnership with HYPEBEAST to create exclusive Amazon Music merch, only sold on Amazon.

We have also integrated merch into Amazon Music Live, so fans can purchase performing artists' merch and concert exclusive merch as they watch the show.
